AKC Star Puppy Classes (6 Weeks, $110)
   AKC Star Puppy Class is for puppies aged 8-16 weeks old at the start of class. All breeds, including mixes, are welcome! No membership required.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Class- For puppies 8-16 weeks old at the start of class. All breeds, including mixes, are welcome!   Classes are limited and will include:

• Socialization/Puppy Play
• Basic commands of Sit, Down, Stand, Come, Stay
• Puppy Manners and Behavior
• Housetraining
• Bite inhibition
• Basic care and feeding
• Attention work
• Effective Leadership 

K4 Advanced Puppy Classes (8 Weeks, $125)
K4 Advanced Puppy is for puppies aged 4-6 months at the start of class. Two classes to choose from on Saturdays. All breeds, including mixes, are welcome! No membership required.

K4 Advanced Puppy is for puppies aged 4-6 months and runs for 8 weeks. The curriculum will be topic driven and relate to  developmental and behavioral issues that occur during the 4-6 month puppy phase. Topics are varied and presented in-depth every week.

Classes are limited and will include:

• Continuation of skills learned in basic puppy class
• Manners
• Puppy issues
• Relationship building

How to Register

Please stop by the club on Thursday evenings (6-8:30pm) or Sunday mornings (9-11:30am), and please bring your dog's vaccination record. The Membership Desk is in the building just south of the clubhouse. Feel free to email or phone (262.252.3569) the club for information on class openings. Please remember that in-person, pre-registration is required for all Puppy classes

 Beginner Classes (16 Weeks, $200)
The Beginners Program is for dogs 6 months of age or older at the start of class. This program runs for 16 weeks and is split into two 8-week sessions: Beginners 1 and Beginners 2. Beginner 1 classes are held on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. All breeds, including mixes, are welcome. No membership required. See below for how to register.

Beginner 1 is an 8-week program. K-9 offers two separate sessions for Beginners. All work is done on leash, teaching the handler and dog proper heel position and how to heel with your dog (heeling is walking with your dog on your left side, under control but with a loose leash ). Work on getting reliable recalls and other skills needed for a well-behaved dog.

Beginner 2 is an 8-week program. All work is done on leash. These classes continue teaching the handler and dog how to heel properly, adding in distractions and more complicated situations. Students work towards getting reliable recalls, sit-stays, and down-stays. Other skills and exercises for a well-behaved dog are covered. Students who have successfully completed the 8-week Beginners 1 Class may then advance into the Beginners 2 Class.

K-9 offers advanced Obedience classes as well as Agility, Dance/Tricks, Rally, Flyball, and Nosework. Please use the "Classes" drop down menu to explore what

Interested in training at K-9 with a dog that's beyond Beginner Obedience level?  The Director of Training is happy to help you determine which Obedience class is right for you. Placement in classes other than Obedience is possible too - we welcome experienced handlers into all our classes!
